Lunges and squats causing painful knees, try non-weight bearing exercises and herbal solutions

Munchie323: Thank you so much for posting this. I’ve found so many exercises involving lunges and squats which only make my knees more painful. I think your non-weight bearing exercises will help me strengthen my knee joints.

Manu: You are welcome. There is no point loading already painful joints. Better to strengthen the local muscles first without loading the painful joint.   Regular massage of the painful joints with Ayurvedic Mahanarayan Oil, Castor oil or Sesame oil followed by heat can be very helpful for controlling the pain, improving circulation and lymphatic flow.   If there is inflammation use Kaishore Guggulu, if cracking/popping and pain Yograj Guggulu, if the joint is swollen, stiff or cool use Punarnavadi Guggulu herbal formula.  Can also take Ashwagandha, Musta and Tagar for managing pain and strengthening the joint.   Brace the joint for support and avoid bending or prolonged weight bearing.   Focus on improving the overall strength of the metabolism and the nervous system to facilitate faster healing.
