Where do your herbal products come from?
All our herbal products are manufactured in a GMP and FDA certified plant in the United States.
Are your herbs irradiated?
No. Because of our high quality packing techniques and cleaning procedures, there is no need to irradiate our herbs. However, not all companies maintain such high level of quality control and it is smart to ask.
What quality control do you perform to insure your herbs are safe?
Before each batch of herbs or herbal products is manufactured, the product must go through rigorous safety tests. Among the tests performed are: heavy metal count, bacteria count, e-coli test, salmonella test, mildew and mold count, insect residue test, moisture levels, and others. These tests are very expensive to perform and that is why not all companies perform this level of quality control.
Why are your herbs and herbal products different from others?
Our products have one purpose, life long natural wellness and fitness without side effects. They are specifically formulated using holistic medicine principles and the Formulator’s (Manu Kalia) personal experience working in the medical and fitness. Our herbal products are developed in state of the art manufacturing plants blending modern research and manufacturing technology with the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. Our number one goal is to bring a high quality product to our customers.
Can I take more than one herbal product?
Yes, it is absolutely fine to take them together if they are for the same condition. If they are for different conditions take them at different time of the day. However if you are not sure, please consult with your Ayurvedic practitioner or herbalist.
Can I take these herbal products with other holistic treatments e.g. homeopathic, Chinese herbs, Western and other herbs and supplements? Will any of them be adversely affected by another?
1) Homeopathy: Yes, but inform your homeopath. Take them at different times of the day.
2) Herbalist-Chinese herbs: Yes, but inform your herbalist- Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner. Take them at different times of the day.
3) Supplements: Yes. Take them at different times of the day.
It is advisable to seek the advice of your herbalist, practitioner or doctor before taking supplements.
Are your herbal supplements safe to take with pharmaceutical medication?
All of our herbal supplements are safe to use with pharmaceutical medication but we advise that you take them at least two hours apart from each other.
However, we would advise caution and advise that you consult your health practitioner or herbalist if you are using the following together:
- Ashwagandha with any sedative (barbiturate) or sleep medications.
Do your herbal supplements have any side effects?
There are no general side effects associated with our herbal products. However if you body is not used to herbal products and you have an idiosyncratic reactions, please stop the herbal product and contact your local herbalist or Ayurvedic practitioner.
Can I take your herbal supplements if I am pregnant?
No, we would advise against taking any herbal supplements while you are pregnant without the advice of a practitioner or your physician.
Are your herbal supplements safe to take while breastfeeding?
We would advise against taking herbal supplements while you are breast-feeding without the advice of a practitioner or your physician.
Can I take these herbal supplements if I’m on the Pill?
Yes, there is no known interaction with our herbs and the contraceptive pill.
What if I get pregnant while I’m taking these herb supplements?
We advise not to take the herbs when you are pregnant without the advice of a practitioner or physician.
Are TriDosha Wellness herbal products safe for a child to take? If so, what is the dosage?
Generally we recommend that only adults (18 and over) use our products at adult dosage unless you have the advice of a practitioner.
Is it okay to take herbal supplements if I’m about to have surgery?
We advise stopping herbs 7 days before surgery to avoid any complications.
All of our formulas are safe to take for surgery, but due to the associated risk of affecting blood clotting we advise that they are avoided prior to surgery.
Can Ashwagandha, be taken if on Prozac or other anti-depressants?
Yes. However, Ashwagandha should be used with caution if you are taking a sedative (barbiturate) medication due to the cumulative effect. You should always consult with your practitioner or physician when taking herbs with medications.
I have problems swallowing capsules – how can I take the herbs?
You can empty the capsules into water and drink.
I have poor digestion – how can I take the herbal supplements so they don’t upset my digestion?
If digestion is weak take the capsules after food.
When is the best time to take the herbal supplements and can they be taken with, before or after food?
The herbal products can be taken after meals.
How long does it take for the herbal supplements to have an effect?
This depends on many factors such as how long you have had a problem, your diet and stress levels. Generally speaking you should be noticing an effect within 3-4 weeks.
How long do I need to take the products?
For optimal effectiveness we recommend you take the herbal supplements regularly for 3 months and then 2 weeks off and then resume taking the supplements. So 3 months on and 2 weeks off and repeat the cycle.
What are your capsules made from?
The capsules are made from vegetarian cellulose.
Are your products gluten free?
Yes, all our products are gluten free.
