This is a mobilization with movement stretch for the ankle joint, more specifically targeting the talocrural joint. Lack of adequate mobility at this joint can result in poor biomechanics up the chain resulting in knee pain, hip pain, low back and Sacroiliac joint issues. This is usually a two person technique when done in the clinic but we are going to use a resistance band to provide a stabilizing force and glide with joint ourselves. The movement should be pain free, a little soreness is expected. This is a powerful ankle stretching technique.
